Back in 2013 we embarked on a journey with Frankie Knuckles and his manager Judy Weinstein to release his very own volume of our House Masters compilation series. Tragically and unexpectedly, Frankie passed away in 2014 and respectfully the project was put on hold. After some time, we reconnected with Judy and suggested we pick the project back up and announce its release on the first anniversary of Frankie’s passing.

The 2CD and download products were a collection of Frankie’s finest productions and remixes, the proceeds of which were donated to the newly established Frankie Knuckles Foundation that worked in partnership with the Elton John Aids Foundation to support their work particularly with African, African American and marginalised communities living with or at risk of HIV.

 The CD format is now out of stock and due to licensing restrictions, the download format is no longer available. Since its original release requests for a vinyl format were continual but never a reality.

Now 10 years since his passing Defected are proud to announce two 2LP volumes of House Masters Frankie Knuckles available to pre-order in collaboration once again with the Frankie Knuckles Foundation.
